Mineola PS is a JK-6 public elementary school located in the neighbourhood of Mineola, south of the QEW between Hurontario and Mississauga Road. It has just over 300 students and is a French Immersion school. That means to be admitted to Mineola PS it would have to be through the French Immersion program.
Mineola PS has been one of the best schools in Mississauga buoyed largely by its French-Immersion population. French Immersion-focused schools tend to produce higher-rated standardized testing scores. However, you can’t fault consistency and Mineola has been nothing short of that over the years.
If you don’t want to send your child to a French Immersion school but want to remain in Mineola/Port Credit, you can look at other options like Kenollie PS and Forest Avenue. The issue with the south of Mississauga is that the average home price is very high within this bonudary making this a less than realistic option for many families. However, if you have the means, there are very, very few areas that are more desirable than Mineola!
