Floradale PS is a JK-6 public elementary school located centrally in Mississauga in the neighbourhood of Cooksville. It has approximately 650 students and does not have a French Immersion track.
Cooksville has some hit and miss areas when it comes to schools and Floradale PS is not immune to the ups and downs in its ranking.
If you’re looking for homes near this area, this is can be a great overall pocket. However, you can also consider options just west of Mavis between Dundas and Queensway in what’s considered the neighbourhood of Erindale. There you can get entry into the traditionally more highly-ranked Hawthorn PS.
However, that takes you out of the Port Credit family of schools which boasts the popular Port Credit Secondary School. So, it depends on what age your children are and your long-term plans.
Either way, this is still a pocket I’d recommend in Mississauga and one with solid school options for families.
