Elm Drive PS is a JK-8 public elementary school in the neighbourhood of Square One that was built in 2022. It has approximately 700 students and no French Immersion programs as of now. The school’s brand new location in the heart of Square One was built to help accommodate the large influx of families into the area.
The addition of a new school in the Square One area was sorely needed and you can tell by the ~700 students already attending. There will likely be more plans surrounding Elm Drive PS and nearby Fairview PS, but as of this writing both schools are helping to alleviate the large demand in the area thanks to all the new construction in the neighbourhood.
Typically, Square One schools have performed much lower than others in Mississauga, but Elm Drive is looking to buck that trend in the coming years. That should ease the minds of concerned parents who either can’t afford the cost of freehold homes in Mississauga or prefer the condo life.
