2026/27 Mississauga Middle School Rankings

If you’re a parent then school quality is likely one of the most important criteria when searching for a home. The difference between a top-ranked and lower-ranked school could be as small as one street.

That’s why it’s important to work with someone who truly understands the city, neighbourhoods and all the things that make Mississauga special. Contact Me with any questions.

For now, let’s check out the 2026/27 Mississauga Middle School Rankings. Below, you will find Mississauga’s top 5 public middle schools. For the full set of school rankings, download a copy from here.

1. Green Glade Sr.

NEIGHBOURHOOD: CLARKSON
HIGHLIGHTS: Grades 6-8, Extended French Available, feeds to Clarkson SS
SCORE: 8.5/10
Previous Rank: #1

Green Glade is located in the neighbourhood of Clarkson in southwest Mississauga. Green Glade has steadily risen in the ranks over the last decade and once again comes in as this year’s top-ranked middle school in Mississauga.

One of Green Glade’s most attractive features is the Extended French program it offers. This gives those who did not attend a French Immersion program the ability to do half-day, intensive French-learning beginning in Grade 7.

For those of you not yet familiar with Clarkson, Green Glade encompasses a boundary that includes the more traditionally working-class subdivision of Park Royal and the more affluent estates of Glenleven and Rattray Park.

This makes the real estate options quite different here, but both benefit from the amazing parks and trails to explore all year long. One thing to keep in mind, the high school here in Clarkson has not been traditionally high-ranking.

You’ll want to talk to an expert to help with your decision to move into a specific school boundary.

2. Lisgar Middle

Neighbourhood: LISGAR
Highlights: Grades 6-8, feeds to Meadowvale SS
Special Programs: IBT Program
SCORE: 8.0/10
Previous Rank: #4

Lisgar Middle is another success story having steadily risen up the ranks to take their place at #2 in the city for Mississauga’s best middle schools.

This is especially impressive when you consider that Lisgar is one of only two non-French Immersion schools to rank inside the top 5 middle schools in Mississauga.

It is also one of only three middle schools in the Peel District School Board to offer the prestigious IBT program.

Students will learn about a variety of business models and incorporate these models into project-based entrepreneurial learning challenges. Throughout the program, students further develop 21st Century competencies: critical thinking and problem-solving, learning to learn, innovation and creativity, collaboration, communication and global citizenship.

As for life within the neighbourhood of Lisgar, check out the full neighbourhood profile. Developed mostly in the 90s and early 2000s, Lisgar is one of Mississauga’s youngest neighbourhoods.

Lisgar is really popular with families of all ages and sizes thanks to its affordability, good schools and access to major highways (Hwy 401 and 407) and public transportation (Lisgar GO station).

3. Erin Centre Middle

NEIGHBOURHOOD: CHURCHILL MEADOWS
HIGHLIGHTS: Grades 6-8, French Immersion Available, feeds to Stephen Lewis SS
SCORE: 8.0/10
Previous Rank: #3

Erin Centre Middle School is located in the neighbourhood of Churchill Meadows in west Mississauga. Erin Centre has been a stalwart of the top 5 middle schools in Mississauga for quite some time.

Erin Centre serves as the French Immersion school for Churchill Meadows and has been developing its ‘School Improvement and Equity Planning’ (SIEP) plan, so it comes as no surprise that they’ve fostered a great culture of learning.

As for the neighbourhood of Churchill Meadows itself, it’s a fantastic neighbourhood with plenty of affordable options for housing. In fact, I would say it has one of the best mixes of housing types and prices in Mississauga while also balancing the needs of quality education.

Make sure to check out the full Churchill Meadows neighbourhood profile.

4. Hillcrest Middle

NEIGHBOURHOOD: LORNE PARK | CLARKSON
HIGHLIGHTS: Grades 6-8, French Immersion Available, feeds to Lorne Park SS
SCORE: 7.9/10
Previous Rank: #2

Located in the top-ranked Lorne Park school zone, Hillcrest Middle School is another top achiever for the neighbourhood to boast about.

The dual-track (English & French Immersion) school remains once again in the Top 5 landing this year at #4 in the rankings with their focus on academic excellence, growth, and community engagement.

While the Lorne Park neighbourhood is one of the more expensive neighbourhoods in Mississauga, one of Hillcrest Middle’s feeder school is the normally top-ranked Whiteoaks PS. This elementary school has about half its boundary in the more affordable neighbourhood of Clarkson.

There are pockets of homes here that are more affordable and get you into the Lorne Park school zone which is highly desirable.

Again, this is why it’s important to work with an expert in the area!

5. ALLAN A. MARTIN

NEIGHBOURHOOD: LAKEVIEW
HIGHLIGHTS: Grades 6-8, English-TRACK ONLY, feeds to Cawthra Park SS
SCORE: 7.8/10
Previous Rank: #8

Located in the wonderful south Mississauga community of Lakeview,  Allan A. Martin is our largest riser in this year’s Top 5 Middle Schools in Mississauga jumping all the way up from #8!

With ~570 students, the English-track only school also boasts its own specialty program – International Business and Technology. Students will learn about a variety of business models and incorporate these models into project-based entrepreneurial learning challenges.

Throughout the program, students further develop 21st Century competencies: critical thinking and problem-solving, learning to learn, innovation and creativity, collaboration, communication and global citizenship.

Lakeview is located on the southeast border of Mississauga entering Toronto. It shares a lot of traits with neighbourhoods like Long Branch and Alderwood in Toronto – pre & post WWII homes with infill custom homes with wide lots on quiet, tree-lined streets.

It is also home to a massive redevelopment of Mississauga’s waterfront. Lakeview’s waterfront will soon rival and likely surpass the waterfronts of Port Credit, Oakville and Burlington in the future.

That makes Lakeview an incredibly in demand neighbourhood as people want to get in on the ground floor of Mississauga’s next Port Credit.
