2026/27 Mississauga Elementary School Rankings

For now, let’s check out the latest 2026/27 Mississauga Elementary School Rankings. Below, you will find Mississauga’s top 5 public elementary schools. For the full set of school rankings, download a copy from here.

Also please note that these rankings will be different from ones you might have seen from The Fraser Institute as they only include schools that are JK-6. This means they are missing scores for the majority of Mississauga schools. Therefore, the rankings below are based on Grade 3 scores in order to achieve as much fairness as possible.

The true source of information comes from the EQAO. All information found here was sourced directly from the EQAO website.

1. Kenollie Public School

NEIGHBOURHOOD: MINEOLA
GRADES: JK-6, ENGLISH-TRACK ONLY
High school: Port Credit SS
SCORE: 9.5/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #1

Kenollie Public School is located in the neighbourhood of Mineola, south of the QEW between Hurontario and Mississauga Road. Kenollie has been far and away the top school in Mississauga for a number of years now and again maintains its stranglehold on the title with  with another incredible score!

The only issue is that this is a very small school boundary located in one of Mississauga’s most expensive pockets within the neighbourhood of Mineola.

As you can see above, the school is woven into this small community making Kenollie PS tough for most families to afford. There are no condos or apartment buildings in this community for rent either.

However, if you have the budget and you’re looking for the absolute best spots to live in the city, then Mineola should be on your list.

3. Owenwood PS

NEIGHBOURHOOD: CLARKSON
GRADES: JK-5, ENGLISH-TRACK ONLY
High School: Clarkson SS
SCORE: 8.5/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #3

Owenwood’s catchment area straddles the often confusing border of Clarkson and Lorne Park. This is important to point out because while Owenwood feeds into one of Mississauga’s best middle schools, it eventually leads to Clarkson SS which is generally lower-ranked and less desirable than Lorne Park SS.

Owenwood is one of Mississauga’s smallest elementary schools with a total student population of only 125. In fact, there were only 13 Grade 3 students who wrote the test last year.

In past years, Owenwood has often not qualified for the rankings because of its low student population. However, when they do, they generally score very well.

This is a very small pocket in Mississauga, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a home in Clarkson or Lorne Park. You can also consider other options in the area, it really just depends on your budget.

Lorne Park is quite a bit more expensive than Clarkson, so if you have the budget, I would personally aim for a school that puts you into the Lorne Park SS track. For example, if you stay east of Southdown road you can get into top-ranked Whiteoaks PS which puts you into the Lorne Park SS school zone.

4. Plum Tree Park PS

NEIGHBOURHOOD: MEADOWVALE
GRADES: JK-6, English & French Immersion
High School: MeadowVale SS
SCORE: 8.3/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #4

Plum Tree Park PS is located in the neighbourhood of Meadowvale in Northwest Mississauga. It has approximately 526 students with more than 60% attending its French Immersion program.

Plum Tree Park PS is the pride of Meadowvale. If you’re aiming for a home in Meadowvale, THIS is the boundary to shoot for. However, keep in mind that a large chunk of the population is reserved for French Immersion, so you will need to be careful about the school boundary here. That’s why working with a real estate team that specializes in Mississauga is extremely important.

Either way, I expect the Plum Tree Park Public School ranking to continue to outperform all other schools in Meadowvale for the foreseeable future and hang around the top 5-10 schools in the city like it has for the last decade plus.

As for life in Meadowvale, you couldn’t ask for a better neighbourhood for seeking affordability, space, nature and access to major retail and public transportation.
