2026/27 Mississauga Catholic Elementary School Rankings

1. St. Edmund

Neighbourhood: Lakeview
Grades: JK-8
High School: St. Paul
SCORE: 9.5/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #1

St. Edmund is located in south Mississauga in the neighbourhood of Lakeview. St. Edmund has seen a staggering ascension in the rankings over the last decade and retains the top spot this year!

Graduates here go to top-ranked St. Paul Catholic Secondary School making this a great option for a long-term move.

Here’s a tip about St. Edmund…you can get access to the school and live in one of the nicest pockets in Mississauga without breaking the bank.

The sub-neighbourhood of “Applewood Acres” is the perfect place to raise a family and one of my personal favourite spots in the entire city. And if you’re looking for that perfect dream home reno/custom, “Orchard Heights” is right next door. This might actually be my second-favourite spot…

2. St. Rose of Lima

Neighbourhood: Central Erin Mills
Grades: JK-8, Extended FI available (Gr. 5-8)
High School: St. Aloysius of Gonzaga
SCORE: 9.3/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #2

St. Rose of Lima is located in the wonderful neighbourhood of Central Erin Mills in central Mississauga. A relatively small school with about ~334 students, St. Rose of Lima is a giant of the city posting another huge score just narrowly being topped by St. Edmund.

Graduates here go to a top-ranked Catholic high school in St. Aloysius of Gonzaga.

Located just southeast of the Credit Valley Hospital and Erin Mills Town Centre, this is another fantastic opportunity to get into one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in Mississauga in a top school zone.

3. St. Mark

NEIGHBOURHOOD: ERIN MILLS
GRADES: JK-8
High School: Loyola SS
SCORE: 8.8/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #3

St. Mark is located in one of Mississauga’s nicest pockets in Sawmill Valley in Erin Mills in west Mississauga. This is easily one of my favourite pockets in the city to raise a family.

As for St. Mark’s, they also retain their spot in the Top 5 Catholic Elementary Schools in Mississauga this year, staying at the #3 spot once again this year.

Students here would graduate to Loyola Secondary School.

Erin Mills is a family-friendly neighbourhood that’s great for those with an active lifestyle. It has a great balance of affordability, access to retail and ease of commuting. There are tons of parks and amazing trails to explore with the University of Toronto-Mississauga campus and Erindale Park right next door.

4. St. John of The Cross

NEIGHBOURHOOD: MEADOWVALE
GRADES: JK-8
High School: Our Lady of Mount Carmel
SCORE: 8.6/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #4

Located in the wonderful neighbourhood of Meadowvale in north Mississauga, St. John of the Cross once again retains its place in the Top 5 Catholic Elementary Schools in Mississauga holding strong in 4th place.

Students here would then graduate to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

This is an overall strong neighbourhood for Catholic elementary schools and a great place to raise a family right at the border of Meadowvale and Lisgar.

You would be located in the west end of Meadowvale which is a bit younger, more spacious and residential. Home prices here are higher than the east part of Meadowvale but come at a good value. You are also still very close to the great amenities of Meadowvale like the Meadowvale Town Center and Lake Aquitaine Park.

5. ST. BERNARD CLAIRVAUX

NEIGHBOURHOOD: CHURCHILL MEADOWS
GRADES: JK-8, FRENCH IMMERSION (GR. 5-8)
SCORE: 8.5/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #7

St. Bernard Clairvaux has reclaimed its spot in our Top 5 Mississauga Catholic Elementary Rankings after a couple of years just outside the top echelon!

This is a fantastic result, but also goes to show how thin the margins are (just 0.1pts above #6)!

A strong annual performer, St. Bernard Clairvaux is located in the wonderful neighbourhood of Churchill Meadows in west Mississauga.

Graduates here would move onto St. Joan of Arc Secondary School.

As for the neighbourhood of Churchill Meadows, it is still one of Mississauga’s youngest neighbourhoods. Developed starting in the late 90s, it’s now grown into a mature neighbourhood with a great community with great schools and affordable real estate.
