#1. Our Lady of Fatima
NEIGHBOURHOOD: COATES
GRADES: JK-8, ENGLISH-TRACK ONLY
HIGH SCHOOL: ST. KATERI TEKAKWITHA
SCORE: 8.5/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #1
Our Lady of Fatima is a JK-8 school located in the neighbourhood of Coates in south-central Milton. Known as the “Flames”, Our Lady of Fatima retains their place as the #1-ranked Catholic Elementary School in Milton in this year’s rankings.
And much like Chris Hadfield PS on the public side, they posted what were far and away the best scores in the city – a whopping 7 points higher than 2nd-placed St. Anthony of Padua. This puts them up there with some of the best scores in the province.
Graduates here then go to Catholic high school St. Kateri Tekakwitha.
Coates is well-located just southeast of Ontario St. and Derry Rd. This gives you major shopping plazas on that corner while being just a 5-min drive to the Milton GO. There are two major neighbourhood parks and the Milton Community Park & Milton Hospital are right next door.
Developed mostly between 05-14, you have plenty of affordable towns, semis and detached homes to choose from. This makes the Our Lady of Fatima school boundary one of the top ones to target in Milton!
#2. Guardian Angels
NEIGHBOURHOOD: BEATY
GRADES: JK-8 ENGLISH, FRENCH IMMERSION 1-8
HIGH SCHOOL: ST. KATERI TEKAKWITHA
SCORE: 7.9/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #3
Guardian Angels is a JK-8, dual-track school located in Beaty in southeast Milton.
After another solid showing, Guardian Angels jumped one spot to #2 in this year’s Best Milton Catholic Elementary Schools Rankings! With tons of sports and extra-curricular clubs, the school has fostered a great community feel.
Graduates here would then move onto St. Kateri Tekakwitha for high school.
Developed between 01-06, Beaty is one of the original New Milton neighbourhoods. You can find anything here from affordable condos to towns, semis and even large detached homes. The Union Gas Trail that runs east-west through the neighbourhood provides many of the homes with green space from their neighbours.
There are over 12 neighbourhood parks and splash pads for the kids to enjoy. Major plazas are located on either corner of the neighbourhood and it’s close to both the Milton GO and Highway 401 for those looking for a shorter commute.

#3. St. Anthony of Padua
NEIGHBOURHOOD: CLARKE
GRADES: JK-8 ENGLISH-TRACK ONLY
HIGH SCHOOL: BISHOP P.F. REDING
SCORE: 7.7/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #2
St. Anthony Padua is a JK-8 school located in the popular and family-friendly neighbourhood of Clarke in northeast Milton.
St. Anthony Padua slips one spot to #3 in our Top 3 Catholic Elementary Schools in Milton with an uncharacteristically weak year at the Grade 3 level. This is only the first small blip, so expect a rebound next year.
As for the neighbourhood of Clarke, it’s another of the original “New Milton” neighbourhoods, developed between 2000 and 2013. It’s also home to many great, huge parks and it’s just steps to the Milton GO and a short walk/drive to downtown Milton.
And just like Beaty to the south, you can find anything from low-rise condos to towns, semis and affordable or large detached homes. There really is something for everyone in these great Milton neighbourhoods!
