1. École Arbour Vista

Neighbourhood: Kortright East | South End
Grades: JK-8 French Immersion
High School: Centennial CVI, John F. Ross (if continuing FI)
SCORE: 9.0/10
PREVIOUS RANK: #1

One of Guelph’s youngest elementary schools, École Arbour Vista was built in 2014 within the newer subdivision that was created in the neighbourhood of Kortright East.

In that short time it has jumped up to and continues to retain its title as the #1 overall school in the Guelph Elementary School Rankings!

For those living in Kortright East and not interested in French Immersion, students would go to nearby and well-rated Rickson Ridge PS.

Graduates here would then move onto the new Two Rivers Secondary in South End Guelph unless continuing in French Immersion – this would place them at John F. Ross which is home to the city’s high school French Immersion program.

Located in Kortright East near the University of Guelph, the neighbourhood is a mix of new developments on the east and the older developments of the 60s-90s. This is considered by many to be a premium neighbourhood in Guelph.

However, the school also serves students living in Westminster Woods just south of Kortright East. This is one of Guelph’s youngest and most convenient neighbourhoods with a huge mix of housing options and affordability.

As for the neighbourhood of East End Guelph it is better known as Grange Hill to the locals. It is located on the very east end of Guelph just east of St. George’s and The Ward and southeast of Victoria North/Brant in Guelph’s North End.

With many great local parks and trails, solid schools and affordable real estate of all sizes and types, many families have flocked to Grange Hill. It is also quite well-located for commuters as they can use the less traveled Guelph Line south to the 401.
