Owenwood PS Ranking

The Owenwood PS ranking comes in at #19 in our overall Mississauga public elementary school rankings. Owenwood PS is one of the smallest schools in Mississauga with a population of only ~90 students. In fact, the school only houses students in kindergarten and then grades 3-4 before they head off to other Clarkson schools. For this reason, I think that this will be the last year that I include them in the rankings. The EQAO already has very low sample sizes, but even this is an extreme case as there are less than 12 students that qualified to write the test. In fact, 2 out of the past 5 years, the school itself hasn’t qualified to write the assessment. As for the neighbourhood of Clarkson, it’s not very strong, so if possible, you want to stay east of Southdown road to get into the better performing Whiteoaks PS which also puts you on track for Lorne Park SS.
