Lorne Park – Mississauga Neighbourhoods
The Neighbourhood of Lorne Park
Lorne Park is Mississauga’s ultimate “move up” neighbourhood. On the weekend, families will take a stroll or drive through its gorgeous tree-lined streets that boast a mix of luxury million dollar, custom build, and quaint cottage-style homes. When you enter Lorne Park you immediately recognize the pride of ownership of its residents. It carries with it a very prestigious yet down-to-earth balance. You don’t feel out of place, but rather want to immediately join this fantastic neighbourhood.
Lorne Park shares most of its lifestyle aspects with neighbouring Port Credit. You go to the Lakeshore to enjoy the restaurants and shops and walk or cruise the gorgeous streets and parks that make this feel like Mississauga’s most prestigious neighbourhood.
Where’s Lorne Park Located?
Lorne Park is located in south Mississauga west of Clarkson, east of Port Credit and south of Erindale separated by the QEW. While its borders blend into neighbouring Clarkson, the main arteries of the two neighbourhoods are actually quite distinct in many respects.
I’m sure you’ve figured out by now that Lorne Park is an expensive neighbourhood. There’s really no other way to put it. You will definitely be sacrificing space and luxury at first, but getting into Lorne Park real estate is a great investment.
From 70+ year old to new custom builds, Lorne Park real estate has every style of home. The majority of affordable homes will be 60s/70s built but be prepared to spend.
Lorne Park is one of Mississauga’s richest neighbourhoods. What you’ll find is here a mixture of older, long-time residents (those first here when Mississauga was built and homes passed down) and mature professionals and their families making their dream move.

Commuting & Retail in Lorne Park
Although close to the QEW, most of the homes in Lorne Park are cut off from it providing that quiet, more tranquil atmosphere. You do have easier access to the Lakeshore as Lorne Park is located in the south of Mississauga. However, in terms of walkable amenities, Lorne Park is not flush with options in this category. Most of the time, if you are deep into Lorne Park’s boundary, it will be about a 10-minute drive to access major roads and amenities.
However, with Port Credit next door there is easily accessible activities for the kids and restaurants, bars and nightlife for the adults. Not to mention there are tons of parks and trails close by all along the lakeshore and in neighbouring Clarkson.
