Clearview Overview

Clearview is located in eastern Oakville, right on the border with Mississauga. It’s bordered by the QEW to the north, Winston Churchill Blvd to the east, Ford Drive to the west, and Sheridan Gardens Drive to the south.

This prime location makes it a commuter’s dream, with easy access to the QEW and Hwy 403 as well as the Clarkson GO Station for work or weekend trips into Toronto.

Clearview is very quiet, but welcoming and family-oriented. The streets are calm and safe, lined with mature trees, bike lanes, and lots of green space. While it has a more secluded feel, it’s close to everyday amenities like Sheridan Centre and the retail power centres at Dundas & Winston Churchill.

It’s perfect for families who want a safe, quiet neighbourhood with plenty of outdoor space. It’s also ideal for commuters who need quick access to major highways and the GO Station. If you’re looking for a neighbourhood that combines convenience with a warm, community feel, Clearview should definitely be on your list.

Clearview real estate

Real Estate

Clearview is very unique in that it’s completely isolated from the rest of Oakville. And while it borders Clarkson in Mississauga, once you cross Winston Churchill via Kingsway Drive, it has a completely different feel. You just know you’ve entered Oakville with its wide, winding streets wrapped around community parks and trails.

And while the neighbourhood is quite nice, it’s not overly stuffy. This is a fairly middle-class neighbourhood and carries an aesthetic that feels somewhat attainable compared to some other parts of the city. It’s really quite similar to pockets of Erin Mills in Mississauga with their large, 2-storey, 80s-built homes on wide streets lined with beautiful trees. You’ll need a rake here!

The homes in Clearview were built through the 80s and 90s, giving the neighbourhood a cohesive, well-planned feel. You’ll mostly find a mix of spacious single-family detached homes with four or more bedrooms.

These homes often feature brick exteriors, attached garages, and good-sized yards, making them ideal for families with growing kids. If you’re looking for a home with a pool, there are plenty to choose from in Clearview.

Clearview residents display a quiet pride of ownership. You’ll find mature landscaping and well-maintained properties that add to the neighbourhood’s charm!

school zone overview

Clearview is a small neighbourhood so the entire community is served by one public and one Catholic elementary school. This means your kids won’t have to change schools and it’s easier to connect with others in the community.

On the public side, students would attend James W. Hill which is a JK-8, dual-track school that offers French Immersion. Graduates would attend Oakville Trafalgar SS which is the catchment area for kids in Southeast Oakville neighbourhoods like Old Oakville, Morrison and Ford.

On the Catholic side, students would attend St. Luke before graduating to attend St. Thomas Aquinas for high school.

Anything missing from our list of the best things to do in Clearview? Reach out and let us know as we’re always on the lookout for new ideas!

Clearview has been designed with families in mind, and you’ll find a park at nearly every turn. Wynten Park is a favourite, with its baseball diamond, splash pad, and playground—it’s a go-to spot for families on sunny afternoons.

The Avonhead Ridge Trail winds through the entire neighbourhood, so you’ll find plenty of people out on walks at all times of the day. It’s a really nice, serene walk with the family or the dogs.

Speaking of dogs, there is a leash-free dog park in the community as well. Visit Kingsford Gardens on the west end of Clearview to enjoy the dog park and community gardens!

For shopping and dining, the area is served by several plazas. Most residents will make the short drive north to the massive retail centre at Dundas and Winston Churchill. You can find pretty much everything you need there including a Costco.

In that area is also a commercial hub where lots of weekend classes for kids take place. This makes it a really convenient neighbourhood to live as you don’t have to go far on the weekends to get things done or keep the kids entertained.
