Shopping & Retail
We have to start with the Erin Mills Town Centre as this is one of two flagship malls in Mississauga. While not quite as big as its sister at Square One downtown, it has undergone a significant redevelopment in recent years.
Some locals were saddened by that, but in reality the mall was due a makeover. With redevelopment of the area came much needed housing in the form of new condos and new retail to serve those residents.
You can find pretty much anything you need now in the area from every big box store imaginable to large, international brands and everything in between.

Parks & Community Centres
I have never quite thought of the area as “green”, but once I had children I realized there is a ton to offer. A couple of great spots to check out are Sugar Maple Woods for a great walking path and Quenippenon Meadows Community Park which has something for everyone including a splash pad and leash-free dog park.
Central Erin Mills is also home to the Erin Meadows Community Centre. This is a joint-partnership with the Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board and also houses top-ranked St. Aloysius Gonzaga.
In June 2024, it underwent a huge renovation and offers amenities such as an activity studio and indoor pool. It’s also partnered with Erin Mills Library, so it’s a great and super convenient place to bring the kids.
You also have the Streetsville Memorial Park which is right next door. Great walking trails and a skating rink for the winter!
