Central Erin Mills – Mississauga Neighbourhoods

Where’s Central Erin Mills Located?

Central Erin Mills is located in north Central Mississauga. Its main feature is the Erin Mills Town Centre at Erin Mills & Eglinton just north of Hwy 403. Central Erin Mills is also home to the Credit Valley hospital just south of the Erin Mills Town Centre.

Central Erin Mills stretches north to Britannia bordered by Streetsville and East Credit to the East, Churchill Meadows to the West, Meadowvale to the North, and Erin Mills to the South.

The Neighbourhood of Central Erin Mills

Central Erin Mills has settled nicely into one of Mississauga’s mature neighbourhoods. It’s now what would be considered a “move up” neighbourhood with most of the homes in the area being traditional 2-storey detached.

It also boasts the newly renovated Erin Mills Town Centre, the Credit Valley hospital, and a host of brand new and mature condo buildings to give residents a taste of big city living in a conveniently suburban setting.

Central Erin Mills will soon become a realistic alternative to Square One with areas like Port Credit and Lakeview also starting to build up to take advantage of the growing popularity of Mississauga.

Central Erin Mills Real Estate

Central Erin Mills real estate is mostly made up of traditional 2-storey detached homes. However, there are some pockets of condo townhouses near the Erin Mills Town Centre and in the northwest corner of the neighbourhood.

There is also a small pocket of semi-detached homes, but those are few and far between. The majority of residents here live in detached homes.

The slight on Central Erin Mills is that those homes are bit outdated, so any major interior renovations are going to come at a cost. What Central Erin Mills does boast is much better lot sizes and generous interior space compared to its younger neighbours.

Gorgeous, large 2-storey homes on wide, quiet streets represent the finest and most mature areas of Central Erin Mills.

Commuting & Retail in Central Erin Mills

Central Erin Mills is less than 10 minutes to the Streetsville GO Train and Hwy 401. Its closest highway is the 403 which links it to very well to the rest of Mississauga and Oakville. Centrally located, it’s a very good compromise for those families that work in very different directions.

As mentioned, there is a ton of retail thanks to the newly designed Erin Mills Town Centre which has condos ideally situated around the area. Central Erin Mills also has its own hospital just south of the mall called Credit Valley hospital.
